Le God Speaks

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has revealed he fears his former club will continue to struggle this season if they persist in playing youngsters.

Saints are only one place off the drop zone in the Championship and fielded eight players aged 21 or under in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Wolves.

Le Tissier told BBC Radio Solent: "It's an incredibly young squad, and it's going to be a problem for us, I think.

"You need a few old heads just to help you close out games."

The former England international, who last played for Southampton in 2002, added: "Sometimes you need to know when to just shut up shop. It's going to be difficult for them if they continue to have eight or nine young lads in the team.

"It could end up being a very tough season."

The above artivle was taken from the BBC news site. But is something the fans have been worried about for a while, at last someone else comments on the situation.
