I have in my previous posts talked about the virtue of the nil nil draw, all games start that way, and on average you get 8/1 for it as a correct score. I must also admit that I didn't see it coming last night, but looking back on all the matches played. There were 7 goal less games out of about 40 top flight games, double what you normally get at the weekend. A higher chance for the lucky 15 to work, and for someone to walk away with 9 grand.
As for this game, SAINTS had all the play and had all the chances, but that means diddley if you don't win the game. You could just as easily scrape by in a game and survive to win a point. The result is the same, you only get a point.
The manager says they were tired after two games in four days, maybe he should join the real world of supporters who went to the game, who keep up full time jobs and then travel to see them play. Tiredness should not come into it. But on reflection, at least we did not lose. another point in the bag, and the next game to look forward to.
